Artist Statement
I envision my artwork as an exploration of human culture. My work investigates humanity, through the construction of human, animal, and earth forms in clay. The content of my work as a whole is extensive and always relates to the process of making. For me, making sculpture is a highly insightful process of observation and invention. I think of my artwork as a form of journalism. I observe the world and report my findings through sculpture.
